Hi, I am looking for a nutritionist in Long Island, NY, and your blog came up. I have PCOS and I am looking for someone who has worked with someone with PCOS. Can you please let me know if you are indeed from Long Island. Thanks!! My email is ms.teacher555@yahoo.com. I look forward to hearing from you, and I really like your blog! πŸ™‚

I have PCOS and was told at 20 I would never have a baby… I would go 18 months without a cycle. My first cysts ruptured at 18yr old and about every 10 – 18 months after that. I also had rectal bleeding from 10yrs old on with constant stomach pain. At 16yrs old I was told “internal hemorrhoids”. At 23 I went to a natural doctor Celiac was mentioned. The natural doctor put me on a hard core gluten free diet. Meat, vegs and fruit only plus 45min exercise every day. I did everything he told me to do. After 2 & 1/2 months I lost 30lbs, had never felt better in my life and found out I was pregnant. πŸ™‚ My husband and I never thought we would have a baby. We had a very healthy little girl…. 20 months after that we had a little boy. My son is now 6yrs and daughter is 8yrs old. Not a happy ending though the rectal bleeding got worse and the stomach pain is more than I can bare… and don’t get me started on my abdomen swelling and constant diarrhea.
My current doctor works with PCOS and Celiac. He talked to me about Celiac I ignored him, I am not Celiac that is an auto immune disorder. My mother was diagnosed 2 months ago. The same doctor that told me β€œhe thinks I have it” tested and diagnosed my mother. Here we go, I have had 3 different doctors tell me they thought I have Celiac. I have more symptoms of Celiac than my mother.
Gluten free 3 weeks no stomach pain, no diarrhea, no bleeding, no swelling… So to test it out I went crazy this weekend gluten everything all weekend. Sunday afternoon the stomach pain began I than shed the lining of my bowel with bleeding and it went downhill from there. You do not want to know anything further. I think I may just be Celiac I will be talking to my doctor and listening this time when we talk Celiac.
